Company Owners
James and Carol Titcomb own both Nye Swarthoull and the Swarthoull croft that the self catering accommodation stands on. Carols family can trace their Shetland roots back for generations with Carols maiden name, Manson, showing typical Scandinavian roots. James is English but fell in love with Shetland when he first came here in 1990
Facts
Until recently Nye Swarthoull was a local shop, the owners lived in the part of the property that is now let out as self catering accommodation. The other end of the property is currently used as a storage area but we have plans to eventualy convert this portion of the bilding in to another self catering unit.
Awards
Nye swarthoull was inspected by the Scottish Tourist Board in 2003 and has been awarded 3 star self catering status for the 2004 season.
